Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

This policy governs all purchases made through RetroGold, operated by Vanguard Media LLC. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below. These terms are designed to comply with laws in the United States (including Arkansas), Canada, and the European Union, while protecting RetroGold to the fullest extent permitted by law.

1. Vintage / Retro Tech Items

All sales are final. No refunds, returns, or exchanges.
Items are sold strictly “as-is.”
Each item has been tested for basic functionality prior to sale.
Photos are part of the description. Customers must review all product photos carefully before purchase.

2. New Items (including products designed for retro systems)

Covered by a 30-day limited warranty against manufacturing defects only.
Refunds and returns are not accepted.
All products are sealed with a security seal. Breaking or removing this seal voids the warranty.

Warranty Process

Customer must email hello@retrogoldshop.com with a description of the problem.
RetroGold, at its sole discretion, will repair or replace the defective item.
If the defect is due to no fault of the customer, RetroGold covers shipping both ways.
If the defect is caused by misuse, improper installation, or damage, RetroGold may offer repair at cost. The customer is responsible for shipping both ways.
Final determination of the cause of defect will be made by RetroGold after inspection.

3. Digital Downloads (software, embroidery files, digitizing outputs)

All sales are final.
No refunds, returns, or exchanges.
RetroGold does not provide troubleshooting support for digital downloads after delivery.

4. Services (digitizing, embroidery setup, custom work)

All services must be prepaid in full.
Once work has started, cancellation is not permitted.
If a customer requests cancellation after work has begun, any funds already paid are non-refundable.

5. Compliance and Consumer Rights

This policy does not limit rights granted under consumer protection laws.
Customers in the EU and Canada may have additional statutory rights that apply.
RetroGold complies with:
- U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations
- Arkansas state consumer protection law
- Canada’s PIPEDA
- European Union Consumer Rights Directive and GDPR
- Google Merchant Center and Meta (Facebook) Commerce seller requirements
